Who: Mr. Art L. Ayre, State Employment Economist
Presentation Title: Oregon's Recent Employment Growth - A review of Oregon's employment trends prior to and during the recent recession and during the past year and a half of job growth. Which industries have bounced back? Are they the same ones that saw big losses? What has happened to average wages in various industries?
About Mr. Ayre: Art Ayre has been a research analyst and economicst with the state of Oregon since 1985 and has spent many years working in both the Oregon Economic Development Department and the Oregon Employment Department. He is responsible for answering customer data requests, analyzing statewide employment trends, undertaking a variety of special projects, editing the statewide Oregon Labor Trends monthly newsletter, and giving occassional presentations.
